Aside from that, this is a museum condition gun. The original buttplate has a small chip on the left side. Has Baker fluid steel barrels, so it is safe to shoot with modern shotshells. This is as close to a perfect restoration as I’ve ever seen. (Possibly deepened from an original 2-1/2″ depth.) Appears to have been expertly polished, re-blued and re-color casehardened to bring it back to factory new appearance. This beautifully-restored (or possibly still all original) Batavia Leader model looks like an almost new gun, but it was made circa 1897! Has an exceptionally low three digit serial number! Condition: 98% blue, with excellent shiny bores, and excellent stock. SOLD - 12 Gauge Double Barrel Baker Batavia.
